Genielle Burrows is a seasoned human services professional who has served her clients as a social worker, parent educator, and therapist for over 20 years. As an identify affirming therapist of color and LGBTQIA+ ally who has worked with a diverse array of clients with a wide variety of life challenges, she is deeply empathetic and dedicated to helping people to live their truth and make their lives better.
She is a NBCC National Certified Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and the state of Iowa, and Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. With a Master of Science degree in counseling psychology, certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Ms. Burrows can help clients with a wide-array of emotional and relationship challenges.
Ms. Burrows welcomes all who are ready for change in their lives, and she places high importance on ensuring minority populations, such as People of Color and LGBTQIA+ have a safe and accepting place to seek help with understanding and non-judgement. She passionately believes that every person is valuable and beautifully unique and should be treated as such with individualized approaches and a collaborative relationship with those she serves.
Ms. Burrows is also a LMHC Qualified Supervisor for the state of Florida and mentors new clinicians interested in serving diverse client populations.
